This doll uses the "tachiko" or "standing child" shape, reserved for small dolls, with rounded shoulders and a narrow bottom that flares out towards the foot. In his work, Oonuma Hideaki uses all the shapes and motifs typical of the traditional Naruko style, founded by his family six generations ago.
